Sudbury Tennis Newsletter

April 25th 2022
Hello everybody!

It's been a solid month for us at the club and I've got a few exciting updates to share, the first of which is our new Head-Pro Coach Richard and his family have arrived and are settled in.

As things warm up we plan on hosting some tournaments for adults and junior players! We'll be hosting the Sudbury City Champs for all highschools in Sudbury on May 10th, 11th & 12th which will lead to some mid-day court closures since it'll be needing the whole facility.

Finally I'm happy to announce we've received our first grant in many years! We've received this grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation's Resilient Communities Fund. The project we're looking to tackle for this grant is upgrading our front desk check-in system by getting all of our members tags they can scan to check-in for all their bookings. This system will increase through-put and help mitigate lineups or wait time to get onto the courts. We'll be implementing this over the next 3 months so stay tuned for updates!

We're also opening registrations for our Spring Volley Fundraiser that we'll be hosting at The Daventry. There will be a silent auction, buffet, and more!

I hope to see you all at the club soon,
- Noah A.

Closing

That's all for our April Newsletter, it's been a busy month and since Richard has arrived we have much more flexibility to offer fun clinics for our members.

We plan on announcing our summer camps soon so stay tuned! We also have a court closure on May 5th from 9:00am - 12:00am as we're getting some electrical work done down in the dome. (Some more outlets and court clocks!)

Many thanks and I hope to see you all at the club,
